Igloo Named to KMWorld’s 100 Companies That Matter in Knowledge Management
Igloo was named to KMWorld’s 2013 list of the 100 Companies That Matter, an annual ranking that identifies the companies that are providing innovative solutions to the challenge of managing knowledge.
Igloo was recently named to KMWorld’s 2013 list of the 100 Companies That Matter, an annual ranking that identifies the companies that are providing innovative solutions to the challenge of managing knowledge.
This is the third consecutive year that Igloo has appeared on this list and, although the criteria for inclusion varies, Hugh McKellar, Editor-in-Chief, remarked that each company “…has either helped to create a market, redefine one or enhance one, and they all share two things-the velocity of innovation and the agility to serve their customers.”
KMWorld published their inaugural list in 2000 and since then quite a bit has changed in the world of knowledge management. In particular, social technologies have shifted the focus away from traditional knowledge repositories that are laborious to use and hard to maintain and towards a more intuitive approach to sharing. Today, knowledge management is just a core component of the next-generation intranet where capturing and sharing information happens in the flow of work.
