Igloo joins Microsoft Enterprise Cloud Alliance, announces new O365 integrations
Igloo Software joins Microsoft Enterprise Cloud Alliance and announces new Microsoft Office 365 integrations for the modern intranet
KITCHENER, JULY 7, 2016 – Igloo Software, a leader in modern intranets, announced today that it has joined the Microsoft Enterprise Cloud Alliance. This new partnership level reinforces Igloo’s commitment to helping fast-growing businesses and large enterprises succeed by improving the way people communicate and share knowledge.
Also announced is an expanded roster of technology integrations with Igloo, further building on Microsoft Office 365 integrations by adding support for Microsoft Skype for Business and Yammer, along with OneDrive, SharePoint, Outlook, and Office 365 calendars. This allows employees to keep files and related conversations in one place, while using trusted applications like Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Plus, files are automatically versioned and up-to-date in Igloo.
With integrated file management, messaging, collaboration, and other business apps, Igloo combines modern intranet capabilities with best-of-breed cloud applications to become the new corporate hub.
One of the first graduates from the Microsoft BizSpark program in 2011, Igloo has expanded its technology to move beyond back-end integration with Microsoft, to touch points with end users via Office 365. A Gold Certified partner, Igloo helps teams collaborate and communicate more effectively with the Office tools they already know and love, in one view.
“It’s no longer enough to have an antiquated intranet no one uses or a place to only share files internally. A modern intranet has to connect people, information and processes to meet the needs of a modern workplace,” said Dan Latendre, CEO, Igloo Software. “At Igloo, we want to make the intranet experience as engaging as possible, bringing together the key tools and applications people use every day to effectively connect and collaborate with their colleagues.”
Igloo Integrations ensure organizations avoid lengthy and expensive deployments by making use of a flexible framework, consisting of an open API, support for OAuth 2.0, and an Integrations Library stored in the Microsoft Azure cloud.
“Igloo offers our joint customers a platform to easily connect and collaborate using key Office tools and applications.” said Rob Howard, director, Office 365 Ecosystem, Microsoft. “We are also delighted to welcome Igloo into the Enterprise Cloud Alliance, which was formed to promote and support partners providing integrations and extensions to existing Microsoft products.”
In addition to the integrations with Microsoft Corp., Igloo offers an unparalleled integrated app experience by leveraging the power of leading cloud services, including Google, Salesforce, Dropbox, and Zendesk, to name a few.
